Prime Minister Stuart Young continues to maintain all the eggs weren't in the Dragon basket. In a Facebook post on Saturday, the energy minister said the People's National Movement Government had negotiated multiple energy deals; some already generating revenue, others still to come.
“This is a true and accurate reflection of the work that has been done by the PNM Government in the energy sector,” he wrote, referring to recent announcements about gas supply projects.
He contrasted this with the UNC’s record in office, saying, “not a single gas supply contract [was] negotiated between 2010–2015” and that an incentive policy from that period meant “no revenue for gas from the largest gas supplier for the period 2015 to 2025.”
