Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young con­tin­ues to main­tain all the eggs weren't in the Drag­on bas­ket. In a Face­book post on Sat­ur­day, the en­er­gy min­is­ter said the Peo­ple's Na­tion­al Move­ment Gov­ern­ment had ne­go­ti­at­ed mul­ti­ple en­er­gy deals; some al­ready gen­er­at­ing rev­enue, oth­ers still to come.

“This is a true and ac­cu­rate re­flec­tion of the work that has been done by the PNM Gov­ern­ment in the en­er­gy sec­tor,” he wrote, re­fer­ring to re­cent an­nounce­ments about gas sup­ply projects.

He con­trast­ed this with the UNC’s record in of­fice, say­ing, “not a sin­gle gas sup­ply con­tract [was] ne­go­ti­at­ed be­tween 2010–2015” and that an in­cen­tive pol­i­cy from that pe­ri­od meant “no rev­enue for gas from the largest gas sup­pli­er for the pe­ri­od 2015 to 2025.”
