Female prison officer held at Golden Grove with prohibited items

A female prisons officer was arrested at the Golden Grove Prison in Arouca yesterday, after she was caught allegedly trying to smuggle in a quantity of prohibited articles.

The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service said the officer was held during a routine check.

According to an interim report, the officer, who has over 19 years of service, was found to be in possession of a quantity of prohibited articles.
