The Opposition People’s National Movement was unable to provide an update on how yesterday’s caucus went, even as the party considers whether to ask the Integrity Commission to investigate Housing Minister Anil Roberts.
Controversy surrounded Roberts’s disclosure of HDC documents linked to the family of St Vincent Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves. Party officials said a decision would be taken at the meeting, but although sources confirmed it took place, no one responded to confirm its outcome.
On Tuesday, Roberts posted a Facebook video accusing Gonsalves of being disrespectful to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. He claimed the Gonsalves family received “great benefits” from the former PNM administration and displayed HDC documents for three Victoria Keyes apartments owned by Gonsalves’s wife, Eloise, son, Storm, and daughter, Soleil Gonsalves.
