(Kaieteur News) – Government officials recently inspected the ongoing construction of the 109-metre steel bridge being constructed across the Puruni River in Region Seven, by Aris Mining, a Canadian firm.
The steel bridge is expected to provide a permanent crossing across the Puruni River and replace the pontoon system. It will also serve as an important access route to the Toroparu Gold Project and improve access for other users of the Puruni corridor.
Construction of the bridge is being undertaken by Aris Mining in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Public Works and other relevant agencies. Construction commenced in September and is expected to be completed by December 2026.
