The National Union of Government and Federated Workers (NUGFW) has formally accepted a 10 per cent wage increase as part of a $2.6 billion compensation package for daily-rated government workers, the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) confirmed on Tuesday.
The agreement, covering the outstanding periods 2014–2016 and 2017–2019, was finalised during a meeting between Dr. Daryl Dindial, CPO, and NUGFW President Christopher Streete at the offices of the Personnel Department.
In outlining the settlement, Dindial described the process as “highly collaborative, structured and transparent,” with both parties carefully reviewing issues affecting workers while balancing the interests of all stakeholders.
