Tributes are being paid to former councillor and alderman Ramkissoon Nagassar following his passing.

Among those honouring his life is Mayaro MP and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Nicholas Morris, who described Mr. Nagassar as a stalwart of the Mayaro constituency whose decades of public and community service contributed significantly to the development of Rio Claro South.

Minister Morris reflected on Mr. Nagassar’s longstanding involvement in the United National Congress, the Mayaro Constituency Executive and the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha, noting his dedication to both political and community work.
