The Ministry of Education has launched an investigation into a violent altercation captured on video at Arima North Secondary School, which has been widely circulated on social media, sparking public outrage and concern.
In a statement issued earlier today, the Ministry expressed concern over the incident and condemned the behaviour, stating that such actions "undermine the values of respect, discipline, and responsibility that our education system seeks to instill in all learners."
While details of the altercation have not been officially released, the video appears to show students engaged in a physical confrontation on the school’s compound. It is unclear at this time what led to the incident or how many students were involved.
