Antigua and Barbuda Attorney General and Minister of Justice Steadroy “Cutie” Olivero Benjamin said yesterday that former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley was not detained in that country—he was delayed.
In a telephone interview with the Express, Benjamin, who also holds responsibility for Immigration, said he has requested a report into what transpired when Rowley entered Antigua, and expects to receive it today.
“From my information, his processing was delayed. However, Antigua and Barbuda has no difficulty with Mr Rowley and would do nothing to prevent his free movement from Antigua to any other jurisdiction,” he said.
