A special reserve police (SRP) officer wants to know why she has not yet been reinstated in the police service despite the dismissal of a 2018 criminal charge against her almost a year ago.

Attorneys for the SRP were forced to approach the court for relief after repeated attempts to get information from Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro proved futile. She remains on suspension.

The SRP and her partner were allowed by Justice Frank Seepersad to pursue a judicial review claim against the commissioner over alleged repeated breaches of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
