(Kaieteur News) – A card game at Westminster, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, ended in tragedy on Sunday after a 17-year-old construction worker was fatally stabbed and a 26-year-old man was injured.
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), police in Regional Division Three are investigating the alleged murder of Akeem Bannister, called “Boy”, of Westminster, and the unlawful wounding of the 26-year-old construction worker, who is from the same area.
The incident occurred between 15:30hrs and 15:55hrs on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in the vicinity of a supermarket.
