The Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries has officially closed the 2024-2025 hunting season as of March 1, 2025.
The ministry ordered all hunting activities on both public and private lands to end by February 28, 2025. Hunters must also dispose of all game carcasses by March 31, 2025. Permit holders are required to submit their Mandatory Data Return Forms by May 31, 2025, or face fines of TT$2,500 per form.
Hunting during the closed season is illegal and punishable by a fine of TT$100,000.
