A DIEGO Martin woman who is accused of encouraging violence against Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and the businessman Danny Guerra are among five people who have been placed under preventive detention orders by Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander.
The minister’s orders, issued under the Emergency Powers Regulations 2025, are being used to target individuals allegedly posing immediate threats to public safety through both political incitement and serious criminal enterprise. The detention order for Olive Green-Jack of Sargangar Trace, Morne Coco Road, Diego Martin, was signed on November 12 and gazetted on Thursday.
Green-Jack was detained specifically for social media posts that featured an image of the Prime Minister’s Philippine home and her call for the Venezuelan government to target the residence.
