Kaieteur Sports – The San Francisco Unicorns essentially burned their house down last night, imploding during a low-scoring yet probably the best match of the tournament, as they squandered their shot at dethroning the still-champions Guyana Amazon Warriors, who stole a 6-run win following the nail-biting finals played at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Despite the lack of runs, the match was subsequently more exciting and filled with additional tension due to the watchful nature of the situation, which made for a gripping showdown as Guyana defended what is the lowest score in any T20 match played.
The final stretch saw the match state being 7 runs off 12 balls with one wicket in hand before the old warrior, Peter Siddle (13*) tried to hold things together before the final wicket fell via run out.
