Heritage Petroleum Company Ltd has announced it will end its long-standing sponsorship of the Skiffle Bunch Steel Orchestra.
In a letter dated November 27 and addressed to Skiffle manager Carl Anthony Mc Clean, Acting Chief Executive Officer Kerry Rampersad said the State-owned energy company had taken a “careful” decision to discontinue all sponsorship of the steelband effective December 27, 2025.
Heritage expressed “sincere appreciation” for Skiffle’s contribution to the national cultural landscape during the period of support. “Heritage truly values the strong relationship we have built over the years and deeply appreciates the positive impact your band has had on communities and, by extension, the country,” Rampersad wrote.
