DAIJON Cordner, a 21-year-old man from Laventille, Trinidad, died after losing control of his vehicle on the Claude Noel Highway near the Light and Life Pentecostal High School in Scarborough on Thursday night.
According to police reports, Cordner was driving a white AD Wagon east along the highway in the company of 20-year-old Faith Niles of Buccoo New Road when the vehicle began to skid, struck a drain on the northern side of the road, and flipped. Both occupants were ejected, with the car landing on Cordner, who died at the scene. Niles was transported to Scarborough General Hospital in stable condition.
