A 14-year-old boy was ar­rest­ed on Sun­day af­ter of­fi­cers dis­cov­ered a loaded firearm in his pos­ses­sion dur­ing an ear­ly morn­ing raid at a house along Pe­nal Rock Road.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, of­fi­cers of the South West­ern Di­vi­sion ex­e­cut­ed the raid around 6:11 a.m. Up­on ar­rival, they found the house un­oc­cu­pied by its own­er. How­ev­er, dur­ing a search of the up­per floor, they en­coun­tered a teenage boy ly­ing in a ham­mock.

When ques­tioned, the teen claimed he was the care­tak­er of ducks on the com­pound. Of­fi­cers ob­served a brown pouch strapped across his shoul­der, which al­leged­ly con­tained a black and sil­ver Sig Sauer pis­tol along with a mag­a­zine loaded with three rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.
