Before the ceremonial moment arrives, Queen’s Park will already be alive with music, movement, memory and hands-on cultural activity.

The National Cultural Foundation is inviting the public to come early and experience the full cultural offering at the Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Gates open from 2 p.m., giving patrons the opportunity to take part in a rich programme of Heritage Workshops and Demonstrations before the official ceremony begins at 4 p.m.
