Police have launched an investigation into a domestic dispute in Siparia involving a serving police constable, during which threats were allegedly made with a service-issued firearm.
According to reports, around 10 p.m. on Monday, the alleged victim was at home with relatives when her common-law husband, a police officer, arrived in a marked police vehicle.
The woman told investigators that the officer, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, engaged in an argument with her before walking away, then turned back, drew his firearm and pointed it in her direction as well as at others present. She reported that he threatened to shoot and kill.
