Anti-crime operations in the Mayaro early on January 8 have resulted in the arrest of seven suspects, including a teenager, and the recovery of homemade shotguns, several rounds of ammunition and camouflage clothing.
Police said officers from the Mayaro CID, supported by the Canine Unit, carried out the operation between 3 am and 7 am, in keeping with the ongoing state of emergency.
The officers recovered a total of four shotguns and 21 rounds of ammunition.
