RBL: New credit cards limited to US$500; forex shortage to blame

New applicants for credit cards at Republic Bank will have a far lower US-Dollar limit than previous credit card holders.
According to an internal staff notice, the bank has advised that as of today (May 8, 2025):
“The maximum credit limit on any newly issued credit card will be up to US$500, or the TT-Dollar equivalent.”
