DeĀlivĀerĀing a judgĀment, this afĀterĀnoon, Caribbean Court of JusĀtice (CCJ) PresĀiĀdent WinĀston AnĀderĀson and JusĀtices MauĀreen RaĀjĀnauth-Lee, Denys BarĀrow, PeĀter JaĀmadar, and ChanĀtal OnonĀaiĀwu upĀheld RamĀsamooj's lawĀsuit over the leĀgalĀiĀty of the conĀdiĀtions of his deĀtenĀtion.
SumĀmarisĀing the panĀel's deĀciĀsion, JusĀtice AnĀderĀson said that RamĀsamooj's deĀtenĀtion unĀder a "beperkĀing orĀder" was unĀlawĀful as it breached his right to freeĀdom of moveĀment as a CariĀcom naĀtionĀal unĀder the ReĀvised Treaty of ChĀaguaraĀmas (RTC).
