The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confirmed that individuals seen in a video removing political banners in the Moruga/Tableland constituency were contracted by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC).
In a release on Wednesday, the TTPS acknowledged the circulation of a video on social media, showing individuals removing political banners from a light pole in the Moruga/Tableland constituency.
"In keeping with our commitment to maintaining public order and safety during the election season, the TTPS initiated an investigation to determine whether any laws were breached and to identify the individuals involved. Our investigations confirmed that the individuals seen in the video removing the banner were contracted workers engaged by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC)," the release stated.
