Venezuelan migrants are not being registered by the Government to vote in the April 28 general election.
The categorical denial came yesterday from Prime Minister Stuart Young, who said the Government’s Venezuelan migrant registration programme does not afford voting rights or consider the permit holder’s time in Trinidad and Tobago towards any residency and associated rights.
Young dismissed what he termed “mischief” in the election campaign season, and yesterday called on the population not to allow its “psyche” to be interfered with.
