DIAMOND Systems and Supplies Ltd (DSSL), which was awarded a $25 million contract by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) last August to supply 3,000 body-worn cameras, is pursuing legal action against the TTPS.
DSSL is claiming the TTPS failed to honour the agreement approved by then-commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher.
In a February 26, 2025, pre-action protocol letter, the company’s attorney, Jamie Maharaj, informed the TTPS they had been instructed to pursue legal action and seek over TT$30 million in damages for breach of contract.
