A unanimous House of Representatives on June 13 supported Sen Supt Allister Guevarro as new commissioner of police (CoP), at its first working session for the new government.
Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander moved the motion nominating Guevarro, as sent by President Christine Kangaloo on the advice of the Police Service Commission (PSC).
Alexander's presentation was somewhat laboured, as he praised Guevarro's service, dedication and astute leadership.
