Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) has successfully completed major construction activities and commenced the phased transition to newly upgraded pipeline infrastructure under its ongoing Asset Integrity Management Programme. This marks a significant milestone in the Company’s continued commitment to public safety, pipeline integrity and environmental protection.
The initiative involved replacing approximately 10,000 feet of crude oil pipeline infrastructure that traversed the community of Tarouba. The works included approximately 6,000 feet of conventionally trenched pipeline installation and 4,000 feet of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) pipeline installation beneath critical infrastructure corridors.
The HDD installations enabled pipeline crossings beneath major roadways and sensitive infrastructure while minimising disruption to the public and surrounding communities.
