WHILE agreeing that drastic times calls for drastic measures, religious leaders have taken exception to the advocacy of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to kill all traffickers and to do so violently.
However, Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro is standing on the side of the PM, warning that when the US comes calling on people engaged in illegal activity, there will not be a happy ending.
Like Persad-Bissessar, Guevarro said, “I have no pity for anyone caught in that net – be it carite or criminal.”
