PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar's comments supporting a US military strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug vessel have sparked a wave of public discourse. Her strong stance has drawn both support and criticism, with many weighing in on the ethical and legal implications of her remarks.
On September 2, Persad-Bissessar, in a statement, said she had “no sympathy for traffickers. The US military should kill them all, violently.”
She also called for divine protection for US forces involved in drug interdiction: “Their efforts will save many lives in our country and the region. God bless and protect them.”
