Homicide officers are investigating the death of 70-year-old Shirlyn Rampersad, whose body was discovered behind a wooden structure at her home on Gonzales Circlular, Belmont on Christmas Day.
According to reports, her husband, Mohan Rampersad, 72, found her motionless around 2p.m. while dropping off food. She was lying in a foetal position with a wound at the back of her head.
The District Medical Officer examined the body and ordered it be taken to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy.
