OPPOSITION Member of Parliament Camille Robinson-Regis yesterday apologised to Urban Development Corporation of T&T (UDeCOTT) Chairman Shankar Bidaisee over remarks she made at a news conference on Thursday concerning two HDC insurance brokerage contracts.

Her apology was issued in a release yesterday following the publication of an article in the Sunday Express in which Bidaisee threatened legal action if she did not publicly apologise and withdraw the statement.

Bidaisee, through his attorney Patricia Dindyal, issued a pre-action protocol letter demanding that Robinson-Regis retract the statements and issue a public apology by 4 p.m. today.
