The afÂfectÂed anÂiÂmals beÂlong to WallerÂfield farmer BriÂan MaÂturine, whose herd testÂed posÂiÂtive for the highÂly conÂtaÂgious swine disÂease on JuÂly 21. The conÂfirÂmaÂtion came just weeks afÂter the minÂistry anÂnounced the deÂtecÂtion of PRRS in earÂly JuÂly. Last year, the disÂease was found on a farm in south Trinidad.
