THE TOBAGO Regional Health Authority (TRHA) announced last night that the Scarborough General Hospital has activated “Emergency Mode” for 48 hours.
In a release posted just after 8 p.m., the TRHA said the measure was “due to a surge in patient admissions and capacity constraints across medical and surgical wards”.
The release stated that all elective surgeries have been suspended until further notice.
