A “peace­mak­er” who in­ter­vened in a fight be­tween two women was stabbed in the back and lat­er died in the hos­pi­tal of his in­juries. He was iden­ti­fied as couri­er Stephan Roberts, of Agua San­ta Av­enue in Diego Mar­tin.

A 21-year-old woman from Diego Mar­tin, who works as a cashier at Su­per­Pharm, was al­so stabbed dur­ing the in­ci­dent. She was treat­ed at the hos­pi­tal and dis­charged in sta­ble con­di­tion.

Re­ports in­di­cate that the cashier had just com­plet­ed her shift and crossed the road to Sier­ra Leone Street around 8.30 pm, when she was con­front­ed by a col­league with whom she had been in­volved in a ver­bal al­ter­ca­tion ear­li­er at work.
