THE mother of a 13-year-old Cedros Secondary student plans to press charges against a number of children who she said lured her child out of the school's compound and physically assaulted her, leaving her unable to walk and move without pain.
Point Fortin mother Ravina Sookdeo told the Express yesterday that she was left deeply disturbed by a video of the assault that was widely circulated on social media. The video depicted her daughter being repeatedly slapped in the face by another student before being thrown to the ground.
A crowd of uniformed students gathered to witness the exchange, laughing and cheering as they filmed.
