San Fernando mayor Robert Parris has urged national leaders to uphold dignity, honesty and truth, especially with young people watching and learning.

Speaking to the media on September 24, during Republic Day youth parade celebrations at Skinner Park, Parris shared his Republic Day message to the nation.

“Live good. Live right. We are almost half a century, and we have matured as a democracy, but our leaders must lead, and they must do so with a level of dignity, honesty and truth, because the young people are looking on.”
