A Crime Scene Investigator attached to the Northern Division was robbed of his SUV and assaulted during an early morning attack in Tunapuna on Tuesday.

According to police reports, the 50-year-old officer was driving his Kia Sonet, valued at approximately $220,000, along Auzonville Road around 3.30 a.m. when the incident occurred.

Investigators said the officer slowed down near the vicinity of Roslyn Hall when he was approached by a man wearing a grey hoodie who had been standing behind a parked maxi-taxi along the roadway.
