LARRY LALLA, SC, has left the UNC in apparent frustration at the party, but UNC leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar in reply has said he was free to pursue his political ambitions elsewhere.

Lalla published his resignation letter – addressed to UNC chairman Davendranath Tancoo – on Facebook on February 24.

"After careful consideration over the past few months, I hereby tender my resignation as a member of the United National Congress.
