A Santa Flora man has been charged in connection with a viral video that allegedly featured threats of violence against political supporters ahead of the upcoming general election.
Bradlee Dhanaram, 35, of Agapito Trace, was arrested last Friday by officers of the National Operations Unit in Penal. The arrest happened in the car park of a popular fast food restaurant.
Dhanaram, said to be a local Trinibad artiste, appeared in a widely circulated video in which he allegedly called on viewers to “tie-strap” individuals affiliated with a particular political party—language police said could incite violence and threaten public order.
