The Office of the President advises that the President of the Senate, the Honourable Wade Mark, was sworn in as Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday August 8, 2026.
The oath of office was administered by the Honourable The Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh.
His Excellency Wade Mark will perform the functions of President during the absence from the country of Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
