The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice says of­fi­cers seen in a vi­ral video trans­port­ing a young woman to grad­u­a­tion a marked ve­hi­cle act­ed law­ful­ly and with au­tho­ri­sa­tion.

Fol­low­ing an in­ter­nal re­view led by As­sis­tant Com­mis­sion­er Wayne Mys­tar, the TTPS now con­firms the of­fi­cers act­ed with per­mis­sion from their sta­tion’s com­mand­ing of­fi­cer.

“The cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the en­gage­ment were con­sis­tent with the TTPS’ Strate­gic Plan 2025–2027, which iden­ti­fies Com­mu­ni­ty Part­ner­ships as a foun­da­tion­al strate­gic pil­lar in im­prov­ing pub­lic trust and con­fi­dence,” the re­lease said.
