Businesswoman Vicky Boodram has been granted a variation to her bail conditions after spending close to eight years behind bars on charges linked to her 2017 prison escape.
The decision was made yesterday by High Court Master Rehanna Hosein, who agreed with Boodram’s attorneys that her time spent in custody has already exceeded the maximum sentence for the charge of escaping lawful custody.
Boodram, 43, faces a maximum of five years’ imprisonment if convicted.
