The partner of murdered local government councillor Romona Teeneal Victor left a handwritten letter expressing remorse for killing her and stating that he could not live without her.
The contents of the letter were read by the police to her father, Francis Ricardo Victor, who on Sunday evening found the bodies of his daughter, Romona, 36, and partner, Rodney Ramsumair, 45.
A post-mortem yesterday found that Romona died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and neck, indicating that she was beaten to death. Ramsumair died as a result of poisoning, post-mortem results found.
