HEALTH Minister Dr Lackram Bodoe has raised an alarm over “significant infrastructural deterioration” and challenging working conditions at the San Fernando General Hospital, following a surprise visit yesterday.
On his second day on the job, Bodoe visited the San Fernando General Hospital and the San Fernando Teaching Hospital, where he also spoke to front-line healthcare workers on issues facing the facilities.
A release from the Ministry of Health stated Bodoe “undertook an unannounced visit” to the facilities in order to “gain a first-hand understanding of the current conditions and engage directly with front-line healthcare professionals”.
