Executive chairman of NH International (Caribbean) Ltd Emile Elias has appealed to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to raise the US dollar exchange rate from $6.80 to $9.
The current exchange rate is $6.79 for US$1, according to the Central Bank.
In a statement to the Sunday Express yesterday, Elias described former finance minister Colm Imbert as the worst in this country’s history, adding his “reckless” decisions on foreign exchange and the economy were aided by former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley.
