(Kaieteur News) â With the release of his latest music video, âAWI,â Guyanese-American recording artist âSpincity Chrisâ is doing more than debuting a new song. He is continuing to build a musical movement that blends Caribbean identity with the pulse of New York hip-hop.
The vibrant visual, released this month, showcases the artistâs signature Cariswing sound, a fusion of Caribbean rhythms, hip-hop, R&B and Afro-inspired melodies that reflect the diverse experiences of the Caribbean diaspora. Through colorful visuals, infectious melodies and lyrics rooted in cultural pride, âAWIâ serves as another chapter in Spincity Chrisâ mission to redefine how Caribbean stories are told through music.
âFor me, every record has to feel authentic,â said Spincity Chris, whose given name is Christopher Clarke. âI want people to hear the Caribbean in the music, but I also want them to hear New York. Thatâs who I am.â
