Girl, 17, in hospital after ‘beating by mom’

A 17-year-old student was taken to hospital after allegedly being beaten by her mother outside a church in Tobago on Friday.

The teenager was standing outside the Golden Lane Seventh-day Adventist Church while speaking with a boy when her mother approached her.

She reported that her mother struck her several times about the body with her hands.
