An 11-month-old boy has died af­ter he re­port­ed­ly suf­fo­cat­ed on vom­it at his fam­i­ly's Cu­mu­to home on Sun­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the ba­by's moth­er fed him a bot­tle at around 3.45 am and put him to sleep.

She awoke at around 5.30 am and on check­ing on him, no­ticed he had vom­it sur­round­ing his mouth with his com­forter still in his mouth.
