Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the Government is moving to correct what it describes as an injustice to workers through the Miscellaneous Provisions Bill now before Parliament.
Speaking on the eve of Labour Day before Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister said the legislation will restore successor rights for the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union at Paria Fuel Trading Company, Guaracara Refining Company Limited and Heritage Petroleum.
