No resignation will be forthcoming from People's National Movement (PNM) Tobago Council political leader Ancil Dennis, despite the party’s loss in both Tobago East and West in Monday’s general election.
In an interview with the Trinidad Express yesterday, Dennis stated that he is not taking responsibility for the PNM’s electoral defeat and insisted he has no intention of stepping down.
“Absolutely not! This election was a national election. The leader of the party in Tobago does not normally take responsibility for a national election defeat, especially in circumstances where the party lost nationally,” Dennis said.
