People’s National Movement (PNM) political leader Pennelope Beckles is confident the Tobago arm of the PNM will emerge victorious at next month’s Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election.

Beckles was on the ground in Tobago yesterday at the Buccoo Multi-Purpose Facility for the filing of nomination papers by PNM Tobago Council political leader Ancil Dennis.

“We understand the candidate that is going up against our political leader is someone who was previously a member of the party. We would not be intimidated, you know. We know that Ancil has done the work over the years and he is a very good candidate and therefore we are not going to get involved in any level of intimidation, and that really would not deter us. We are focused on winning and we are focused on returning to the THA,” Beckles said.
